Smooth alternative to using the mouse and scroll bar
Camtasia has a screen recording feature that allows you to capture live video right off the screen. This is an effective tool demonstrating software or websites. However, when you need to scroll, using your mouse and the scroll bar on the application or browser window looks jerky rather than smooth and professional.
Try this: Use SnagIt to capture a panoramic image of the system or webpage. This produces a long image. Save this as a PNG and add it to your video project. Then use the Zoom-n-Pan feature in the Animations panel in Camtasia to smoothly scroll to the areas of the PNG you need to show. Your finished video will look much more professional.
