While my earlier blog posts were focused on instructional design, I want to repurpose this blog for updates on elder fraud and related scams. There is so much going on in this area that even a newsletter seemed like it would be inefficient. Please share this blog with others who you believe would be interested. You can see my Recognizing and Responding to Elder Fraud training module here. It is free and I encourage you to share it with others.

We encourage anyone to use our Recognizing and Responding to Elder Fraud training module to hold their own seminar. A number of resources are available on the Elder Fraud Resources page to assist with this, including a Seminar Run of Show that suggests topics and timings for your own seminar. All of these resources are available for free. We just want to help stop the scamming of Americans.

I also understand that some folks will prefer to have someone come in and present the material for them. In addition to leading the audience through all 18 training scenarios, I share some elder fraud statistics, samples, demonstrations, news updates, and a question and answer (Q & A) session. My seminar runs 2.5 hours and is best suited for a Saturday morning when folks are fresh. I always encourage seniors, adult children with senior parents, and anyone interested in this growing problem to attend.
